This session is designed for
international students and families arriving in Canada with school-aged children (ages 5 to 17). Starting school in a new country can feel overwhelming, and this session will help you with the school registration process and connect you with the supports available to make your family's transition as smooth as possible.
During this session, you will learn:
- How to register your child for school.
- How to identify your child's catchment school based on your home address.
- What to expect during the registration and school placement process.
You will also learn about the Settlement Worker in Schools (SWIS) program and how it can support your family.
